It seems like everyone these days is talking about artificial intelligence, but James Barrat literally wrote the book on it. His book "Our Final Invention: Artificial Intelligence and the End of the Human Era" describes the potential dangers of humans developing artificial intelligence that could eclipse that of humans. Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Stephen Hawking, just to name a few, have all warned of these dangers.
