I was interested in talking with Winnie Li after hearing about her unique perspective and outlook on live after surviving a violent rape while traveling overseas. Most people try to avoid thinking about and sympathizing with their aggressors, but Winnie wrote a book about her experience and humanized him trying to understand his perspective.
